How to Get Approval Letters and Review Approval Information?
Applicants must use the SingPass to check the application results on the ICA’s official website. If the applicant is approved, the approval will only be displayed online but not attached to the approval letter. The ICA will mail the approval letter to the applicant’s registered residential address.
Health declaration
Before getting the IPA, you can start preparing the materials according to the list. The list of materials can be obtained from the ICA online, and you can declare it on the Medishield website.
*MediShield: This is a basic national health insurance plan that provides universal coverage of basic medical insurance for all Singapore citizens and permanent residents, mainly to help them and their dependents, to be able to pay for medical expenses due to serious or chronic diseases.
All successful applicants for Singapore PR application must be insured by the Singapore Provident Fund Board’s MediShield. All successful PR applicants (over the age of 30) are required to have CareShield Life coverage.
Medical Checkup
If you are approved, you need to go to any legal Singapore medical center for a medical examination (remember to bring an approval letter – IPA). If you have submitted a medical report to MOM or ICA within two years, you do not need to submit it again. You only need to fill in the declaration.
If you are approved, it usually takes about two weeks for the medical center to prepare the physical examination report, but different medical centers will have different arrangements, so it is best to check with the medical center in advance.
Book appointment time
When you have prepared all the required documents in the approval letter (this also includes the original documents that you attached when submitting the Singapore PR application form), then you can make an appointment for the processing time, and then prepare the next documents!
Due to the current epidemic situation, you must make an appointment online in advance and cannot go directly to the ICA counter.
