1.VTLs expanded to Malaysia, Finland, and Sweden from 29 NOV 2021
Singapore and Malaysia have announced a joint VTL for travel between Changi Airport and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) from 29 November 2021. Vaccinated Travel Pass applications for Short-Term Visitors and Long-Term Pass Holders will commence on 22 November 2021; returning Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents who are fully vaccinated will not need to apply.
Singapore and Malaysia are also in detailed discussion to launch a similar scheme for travel across the land links.
The VTLs will also be extended to Finland and Sweden from 29 November 2021, with applications for Short-Term Visitors and Long-Term Pass Holders commencing on 22 November 2021.
2. Household can dine in in group of up to 5 from 10 NOV 2021
From Wednesday (Nov 10), fully vaccinated people from the same household will be able to dine out in groups of up to five, given that the Covid-19 situation has stabilised.
But this easing of measures will not extend to hawker centres and coffee shops, as they are unable to carry out comprehensive checks on all diners.
3. Pilot to test resumption of more activities for those fully vaccinated, such as team sports from 10 Nov 2021
The authorities said they will be piloting the resumption of more activities for those who are fully vaccinated, starting with sports and selected Mice (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) events, subject to the additional requirement of testing using ART kits.
The authorities will be piloting this in sports settings, to allow the resumption of team sports for a group of up to 10 fully vaccinated people – including players, umpires, linesmen – to play together in controlled and supervised settings at suitable ActiveSG sports centres and People’s Association community clubs from Nov 10.
